World Education Services is a non-profit organization that provides credential for international students and immigrants for studies and job in US and Canada. WES evaluates more than 200,000 credentials per year; they auto-authenticate and define foreign education in U.S. or Canadian terms. WES reports that its credential evaluations are nonbinding advisory opinions.WES’s proprietary database collects and stores information of academic certificates of more than 200 countries, 45,000 foreign institutions, and 20,000 academic credentials. However, WES does not have formal agreements with educational systems of any country, and the kept certificates are voluntarily provided by the candidates, and they operate with third-party motives

How do I send my transcript to WES?
Please contact your institution. WES only accepts documents in sealed envelopes that are mailed directly by the institutions (universities or autonomous colleges) themselves. My institution will not send documents directly to WES, but I have an attested copy in a sealed envelope.
How do I get my transcripts from India?
Transcripts are generated by the education board of conduct, which can be received from the academic institute from where you have pursued your education. These may either be procured by visiting the institution physically or by contacting the authorities and request them to send them via post.
Is WES mandatory for Canada PR?
For immigration to Canada, you should choose an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA). An ECA is required to apply to certain Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) programs. World Education Services (WES) is designated by IRCC to provide ECAs for degrees and diplomas earned outside of Canada.

What is an official transcript?
Official transcripts are documents that are produced by the registrar’s office and must be ordered according to the instructions on the Request a Transcript page. Official transcripts are issued in portrait format and contain the seal of the university and the signature of the University Registrar.
How long is WES valid for?
FIVE YEARS Although WES standard reports do not have an expiry date, Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) reports for Canadian immigration purposes expire five years from the date of issue. The first ECA reports expired in April 2018 after having been issued in April 2013.
